King/Queen of the Day!

In Kindergarten, we like to do something called King/Queen of the day at the beginning of the year. This lets each student be the King or Queen for one day so everyone in the class will get to know them better. The students who receive the "red" bag in their backpack when they leave school are the king/queen the next day!! They get to bring a few items from home to share with the class. It's a little like show and tell. I have absolutely loved seeing what the kids bring from home to share. It really does help me and everyone get to know each person better!
