Apples, Freedom Parade, and much more

Wow! What a week it's been. We have learned so much this week! Take a look at what all we've done below.

We learned the letter sounds of "N" and "F". Here is a list of words that began with these sounds that the kids helped make. They are soooo smart!

Since we were learning about apples this week, I had to get the kids "in the mood" with a smelly good room and clean hands so this is what we used!

The students had homework to bring 2 apples to school this week. We sorted apples by color and by stem/no stem. Here's a picture of us sorting our apples by stem/no stem. The kids loved this hands on activity.

Oh yeah, we washed them and ate one too!! We worked on sequencing for this activity.

We learned about numbers 6-9 this week. Here is a picture of our number board for "9". This is an interactive activity for the kids to learn about all the different ways to make a number!!

We had our Freedom Parade this morning! The school supported us so much by coming out of their rooms to clap and wave as we walked by their pods and rooms. Thanks everyone for making it so special for the kids!

Getting ready...

It was a success!

Had to get in there too- couldn't resist!

Class Constitution!!!

We also had Greg Dee, meteorologist from Channel 4 come visit the kindergarten students at Roberts! He was fabulous! The kids were so engaged!! They had fun watching real life footage of tornados. Big thanks to him!! Here are a few pics.
