Valentine Week!

Lots of love was shown this week. Valentine's Day was a success!! Check out what all happened down below! 😜

Eli got music star this week. So proud of you! Let's keep it up!!!

Another strategy we learned for subtraction! We used mats, number sentences, answers, counters and a cup where the kids put the counters if it was being "taken away."

How to make a heart! Such a fun activity! I love all the different shapes of hearts.

Here are the pictures we took in front of our February heart bulletin board. We used this picture for our heart picture frame the kids got to decorate at the party on Thursday.

Even though our week was busy with valentine preparations, we learned about subtraction using the wii. That's right, we played wii bowling. The kids tried to knock down pins and subtract the pins from 10. They had a recording sheet that they used while their friends bowled.

My students had a home project where they had to make a valentine box and write valentines to their friends in our class this whole week. I was super impressed with all the boxes. The kids went above and beyond. We had a blast!!!!

Passing out valentines 😍😘❤️

ME, Aislynn, and Olivia giving hugs on our party day. They are such good friends!!! Thanks Mrs. Hardin for sharing her with us.

My valentine day gift from Aislynn! Yummy chocolate covered strawberries. So delicious!!

All of my sweet valentines from my students! Love all the candy, cards, mug, and gift card!! Many thanks!!

Getting ready for our Valentine Party!

Valentine Bingo!

Math heart match! The kids had to find 2 parts of a heart that matched. One side had a number sentence and the other side had the answer. This was tricky but the kids liked it!!

Decorating cookies, drinking juice and eating valentine trail mix!

Zander being cray cray at the party!! He wanted his picture taken so this is what he did! Ha!

Using chopsticks to pick up conversational hearts. It was a race- they were timed. The student that had the most received a prize!!

Decorating and mod podging heart picture frames

I had some visitors from last year that brought me a valentine gift and a hug! Love These former students!!
