The past month

What an exciting past month it has been in Kinder! We have had so much going on lately- it's hard to document everything but I got some great pics from before our winter vacation.

My kids made this for me while I was at a staff Christmas lunch!! What a surprise!! I had no idea!! They sure do keep good surprises. Thank you moms who came to help make this possible! ;) It is so special and I will have it forever!!!

Greetings from Mrs. Geurin's class!!

Mary Elizabeth's grandfather, daddy mike was in town the week before Christmas and surprised ME and the class by reading a super cute book. Thanks Daddy Mike! It was such a treat to have you in our class!

I have started picking tables to share their writing each day (if time allows). We love this because it helps talk out loud about your thoughts, drawing and writing. We help each other correct any mistakes we made to make it better!!!

Gabrielle's holiday tradition!

Eli having too much fun in the teacher chair! Grins all around!

What Eli is doing over the break

Stephen writes about his Christmas tradition.

I love hearing from all my kids because no one does the same thing! They are all unique!

Hope everyone had wonderful holidays over the break. I sure did miss all the kiddos. I definitely thought about them a lot. Today was such a happy day seeing my kids faces full of smiles and bodies full of excitement to see each other and share about their break. It filled my heart soooo much. I am reminded daily how thankful I am to be their teacher. Thank you again parents for allowing me to teach your child. It is such an honor!

Dec. 2-6

We have been having some fun in room 110! Getting ready for winter and learning about all holiday things.

We had a long day on Tuesday so we made a craft! We made Christmas trees out of different stripes of paper. We tied it into math learning about measurement! The kids had to put the pieces together from the stump to the longest piece to the shortest price. And even make a star. I helped them if they needed it of course! This was so much fun! They really enjoyed it! I put them out on our bulletin board for winter!

Aislynn gave me a December happy that matches our craft perfectly!! I put it outside our room on our table near the door. They look great together! Thanks Farrell's!

Samantha and Aislynn were even dressed in Christmas tree outfits. They loved matching our craft! Ha! Adorbs!

Mohammed was our music star this week. Good work!

Lauren and Emma were picked to be All Stars in PE this week, too. Go girls!

School was cancelled Friday and this coming Monday (tomorrow) due to an ice storm. Stay safe and see everyone Tuesday (12/10)!

Nov. 18-22

This was a super fun week! We had a lot of cool activities and events that occurred this week. Check it out below!

Bryson was our music star in music class with Mrs. Pollard! :)

We had VIPs day on the 19th. This is a day were volunteers come read in the public schools. We had such a fun lady come visit our room. Her name was Mrs. Laster! She was very engaging and kept the kids attention the whole time she read! She even had some cool glasses that one of the authors made her children that she brought to read in. We appreciate others taking time out of their day to come to school and work with our kiddos!

Mary Elizabeth and Gabrielle were picked by Mrs. Apsache to be All Star students in PE!

For Thanksgiving, we made a few crafts/gifts. I thought this turned out really cute!! Hope you liked it, if you received one.

On Friday, Nov. 22nd was Book Character Day at Robert's Elementary! The students picked a favorite character in a book that they like and dressed up as them. We had a school wide parade throughout our building. It was so much to show off all the costumes and see everyone else's too. Here we are getting ready to join in the parade!

This is right when we got back from the parade. I needed a group shot. So proud of all the good costumes.

Eli as a hunter in Little Jake's Big Bowhunt

Synia as a police woman in the book, Police: Hurrying! Helping! Saving!

Stephen as the train conductor in The Polar Express!

Aislynn was Pocahontas!

Emma was Tinker Bell

Mohammed was Mario

Lauren was a princess fairy

Nicholas was Thor.

Noah as Cat in the Hat!

Miray dressed up as Sleeping Beauty.

Samantha was Olivia, the pig.

I was Pete the Cat. I was rocking in my green shoes. Love pics of me with my kiddos.

Noah's grandparents were our secret readers that Friday. It was a busy and crazy day. But the kids loved listening to all the books that were read aloud. It was perfect to have them come since it was book character day. Thanks to them for giving their time and energy to be at Roberts to support learning!

Noah and his grandparents! :)

We even had a watchdog dad in our class that day too. Thanks Mr. Ware for helping around our school and in our classroom. We love having male family members at our school! The kids LOVE them!!

Nov. 11-15

Synia was our music star this week in Mrs. Pollard's classroom!

Me and Mary Elizabeth were twins on Veteran's day. It was fun to be twinkies!

Kindergarten celebrated Veteran's Day by dressing in red, white, and blue. We also took a picture at 11:00 on the 11 day of the 11 month!

I love how the the turkey disguises turned out. All the kids worked hard on their home project. They had to go up on my bulletin board!

One day during writing time, we wrote about what we were thankful for and we put those things on our big turkeys' feathers and displayed it all outside of our classroom! :)

Aiden and Synia got All Star from Mrs. Apsache in PE! So proud of these kiddos!!

Eli's mom, Mrs. Carson was our secret reader this week. She brought a couple of book that she read with the kids. The kids really loved one of them!! Good job on your picks!
